    Abstract : Population ageing and increased digitalization each constitute an ongoing and profound transformation within contemporary modes of living, as growing advances in technological development mix and intermingle with the lived realities of older people as the final recipients. It is against the backdrop of this interplay that user involvement has enjoyed ever-rising advocacy to an almost normative degree. READ MORE

  2. 2. On Enterprise Systems Artifacts: Changes in Information Systems Development and Evaluation

    Author : Jonas Hedman; Institutet för Ekonomisk forskning; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; information systems development; evaluation; artifact evaluation; artifacts; systemteori; Informatik; Informatics; systems theory; Enterprise Systems; ERP Systems;

    Abstract : Enterprise Systems are one of the most important developments in corporate information systems during the last decade. These integrated information systems are characterized by a number of features which include a very broad scope and functionality, as well as being generic, master data, and business-process orientated. Abstract : Influential actors refer to smart grids as a revamped version of the energy systemwhen they argue for alternative energy pathways, and assign demonstration projects with the task of turning prospects about the future into functional configurations. This thesis explores notions of the smart grid future that are implicitly conveyed in Swedish smart grid strategy and planning documents. READ MORE

  4. 4. A Theory of Architectural Objects to support Design Configuration

    Author : Fredrik Wikberg; Projekteringsmetodik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; architectural design; architectural object; design configuration; BIM; product platforms;

    Abstract : The thesis presents the results from a research project targeting architectural design and house-building in a setting of industrialized design process and product platforms. During the early stages of a traditional design process, architects manage a degree of problem complexity, besides technical aspects, also includes user function, material, environment, aesthetics etc. READ MORE

  5. 5. Simulation and Electrical Evaluation of 4H-SiC Junction Field Effect Transistors and Junction Barrier Schottky Diodes with Buried Grids

    Author : Jang-Kwon Lim; Hans-Peter Nee; Mietek Bakowski; Ichiro Omura; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Silicon carbide SiC ; junction field-effect transistors JFETs ; junction barrier schottky diode JBS ; schottky barrier diode SBD ; buried-grid BG technology; simulation; implantation; epitaxial growth; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Silicon carbide (SiC) has higher breakdown field strength than silicon (Si), which enables thinner and more highly doped drift layers compared to Si. Consequently, the power losses can be reduced compared to Si-based power conversion systems. Moreover, SiC allows the power conversion systems to operate at high temperatures up to 250 oC. READ MORE
