  1. 1. Control Aspects of Complex Hydromechanical Transmissions : with a Focus on Displacement Control

    Author : L. Viktor Larsson; Petter Krus; Björn Eriksson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with control aspects of complex hydromechanical transmissions. The overall purpose is to increase the knowledge of important aspects to consider during the development of hydromechanical transmissions to ensure transmission functionality. READ MORE

  2. 2. Composites studied by moiré methods and high speed photography

    Author : L. Gunnar Melin; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Experimental Mechanics; Experimentell mekanik;

    Abstract : Fibre composites are today used as construction material in a growing number of applications. Carbon fibres/epoxy matrix composites are employed in high performance applications as aircrafts where a high stiffness/weight ratio is important. READ MORE

  3. 3. Supra-threshold hearing loss and wide dynamic range compression

    Author : Henrik L Olsen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Hearing impairment; compression; hearing aids; modulated noise; speech intelligibility; temporal resolution; modulation transfer function;

    Abstract : Cochlear hearing loss leads to deficits in many perceptual aspects, including threshold elevation (loss of sensitivity), reduction of auditory dynamic range (loudness recruitment) and problems with resolving sounds (loss of supra-threshold hearing). An ongoing debate is whether assessment of the individual supra-threshold hearing provides information which is likely to have an important influence on clinical decisions on signal processing strategies. 4. 4. Dust mite allergens : cloning, characterisation and T-cell responses

    Author : Tove L J Eriksson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The number of allergens that have been cloned has increased dramatically during the last 10 years, and today, over 400 allergen sequences are available in the databases. In addition, at least 15 dust mite allergens have been characterised. READ MORE

  5. 5. Computational Biomechanics in Cross-country Skiing

    Author : Joakim L. Holmberg; Anders Klarbring; Ingrid Svensson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer simulation; Inverse dynamics; Musculoskeletal; Optimization; Simulation model; Sports; Computational Biomechanics; Cross‐country Skiing; Engineering mechanics; Teknisk mekanik;

    Abstract : Traditionally, research on cross‐country skiing biomechanics is based mainly on experimental testing alone. Trying a different approach, this thesis explores the possibilities of using computational musculoskeletal biomechanics for cross‐country skiing. As far as the author knows, this has not been done before. READ MORE
