1. Effects of non-fish based raw materials on the fish muscle quality of salmonids
Abstract : Salmonids are considered as fatty fish and a healthy food. They are characterized by a high proportion of n-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 LCPUFA). There is great interest in producing high-quality salmonids with a reduced use of fish-based materials and a challenge to adjust feeds towards more sustainable. READ MORE

2. Regulation of IgG subclass switching in human B cells
Abstract : Human IgG can be subdivided into four subclasses, each encoded by a separate heavy chain constant (CH) region gene and endowed with unique biological and functional properties. Deficiencies of single or multiple IgG subclasses have been suggested to be associated with increased susceptibility to recurrent infections in humans. READ MORE

3. Modulation of mononuclear phagocyte function in the dissemination of Toxoplasma gondii
Abstract : Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular Apicomplexan parasite that could possibly infect all warm-blooded animals. Acute infections with T. READ MORE

4. The role of computer-aided design and surface chemistry on Cell-scaffold interactions
Abstract : Cell interactions and cell response to three dimensional scaffolds based on poly(L-lactide-co-1,5-dioxepan-2-one) [poly(LLA-co-DXO)] and poly(L-lactide-co-e-caprolactone) [poly(LLA-co-CL)] wereimprovedstudiedby increasing surface hydrophilicity and by using computer-aided scaffold design. Different amounts of Tween 80 (3, 10, 20 wt%) were mixed with the copolymer and it was found that the water contact angle decreased significantly with the amount of Tween 80. READ MORE

5. Application of Nanomaterials for the Removal of Hexavalent Chromium and their Biological Implications
Abstract : The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) stated that chromium in the form of Cr(VI) has been deemed to be a class-A human carcinogen. It has been a major contaminant associated with wastewater. READ MORE
