16. Large-Eddy Simulation of the Flow around Simplified High-Speed Trains under Side Wind Conditions , thesis of Lic. of Engng, Division of Fluid Dynamics, Dept. of Applied Mechanics, Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, 2006
Abstract : The flows around high speed trains, subjected to side winds, are solved using Large Eddy Simulation (LES). Two train models have been used: generic model and more realestic model (the ICE2 train) in the investigations. READ MORE

17. On the numerical modelling of impinging jets heat transfer
Abstract : This thesis collects two studies on heat transfer in impinging jets and on methods for modeling flows of this kind using CFD. Stationary impinging jets with different nozzle to wall distances (z/D = 2 and 6) and Re (10000, 20000, 23000, 30000) are modeled. Steady-state models capture the important features of heat transfer in these jets. READ MORE

18. Large Eddy Simulations of Separated Compressible Flows around Wing Sections
Abstract : This thesis concerns numerical calculations of compressible separated flows, with and without shocks, around wing sections using Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The considered geometries are the NACA 0012 wing section and the ONERA AT15A wing section. READ MORE

19. Approaching Large Eddy Simulation of Cavitating Flows for Marine Applications
Abstract : Cavitation is a major concern in naval craft design as well as in the shipping industry. Although the nature of cavitation is not fully understood, propellerdesigns are presently improved by experimental analysis of the phenomena. READ MORE

20. Computational fluid dynamics for dispersion calculation in urban surroundings
Abstract : Increased knowledge on dispersion processes in urban environment will enhance the ability in the society to handle events where releases of toxic substances can occur. Also, the ability to increase preparedness at locations where such events potentially can emerge. READ MORE
