  1. 1. Copper germanide schottky contacts to silicon and electrically active defects in n-type 6H-SiC and 4H-SiC epitaxial layers

    Author : James P. Doyle; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Metallization for contacts to silicon devices presents amajor challenge as the linewidths are further reduced into thesub-micron regime. Copper germanide due to its relatively lowroom temperature resistivity ( ~ 10 µΩ - cm) has beenexamined as a potential contact metallixation. READ MORE

  2. 2. Nonlinear optical techniques for ultrafast laser diagnostics : Development of femtosecond LIF, LIGS, CARS and backward lasing

    Author : Maria Ruchkina; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; laser diagnostics; femtosecond laser; nonlinear interactions; ultrafast spectroscopy; multi-photon excitation; laser-induced fluorescence; rotational coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy; laser-induced grating spectroscopy; lasing; backward lasing technique; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Ruchkina;

    Abstract : The thesis work concerns development and application of four versatile nonlinear optical techniques, based on exploiting ultrashort laser pulses, for diagnostic purposes in gases and flames. The four techniques, all laser-based, are two-photon laser-induced fluorescence (TPLIF), hybrid femtosecond/nanosecond (fs/ns) rotational coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (fs/ns RCARS), fs-laser-induced grating spectroscopy (fs-LIGS), and backward lasing. 3. 3. Resonant Interactions Between Nanoparticle Plasmons and Molecular Excitons

    Author : Gülis Zengin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; surface-enhanced absorption; J-aggregates; Localized surface plasmon resonance; strong coupling; Rhodamine 6G; nanoparticles;

    Abstract : Molecular plasmonics involves the study and applications of plasmonic metal nanostructures interacting with molecules. It has been a basis for development of fundamental understandings of light-matter interactions as well as of new technologies, including biological and chemical sensors and plasmon-enhanced spectroscopies.
