1. X-ray spectroscopy on diatomic and cationic molecules
Abstract : X-ray spectroscopy have been used to study the electronic structure of diatomic and cationic molecules. X-ray absorption spectra of the molecular cations N2+, O2+, and CO+ have been measured. READ MORE

2. Staging and tumor biological mechanisms of lymph node metastasis in invasive urinary bladder cancer
Abstract : Aim: To study the possibility of detecting lymph node metastasis in locally advanced urinary bladder cancer (UBC) treated with radical cystectomy (RC) by using preoperative positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) and peroperative sentinel node biopsy (SNB) technique. We also investigate the clinical significance of macrophage traits expression by cancer cells, M2-macrophage infiltration (MI) in tumor stroma and the immunohistochemical expression of biomarkers in cancer cells in relation to clinicopathologic data. 3. Multi-Photon Interactions with a Time Structure
Abstract : The present thesis concerns aspects of the interaction ofmatter in gas, liquid and solid phases, with electromagneticradiation, ranging from the optical to the X-ray region. Overthe last decade the availability of ultrashort strong laserpulses as well as of high power synchrotron sources of tunableX-ray radiation has stimulated a rapid development of newexperimental techniques which makes it possible to analysedifferent physical, chemical and biological processes inunprecedented detail. 4. Synchrotron Radiation Studies of Free and Adsorbed Molecules
Abstract : This thesis contains two parts. The first part concerns the research work on free molecules using synchrotron-radiation-related techniques. Auger electron spectra of two free open-shell molecules, O2 and NO, were studied experimentally and theoretically. READ MORE

5. Non-Gaussian Statistical Modelsand Their Applications
Abstract : Statistical modeling plays an important role in various research areas. It provides away to connect the data with the statistics. Based on the statistical properties of theobserved data, an appropriate model can be chosen that leads to a promising practicalperformance. READ MORE
