6. Total Shoulder Arthroplasty : clinical and radiological studies on the implant positioning and fixation
Abstract : Shoulder arthroplasty surgery has shown remarkable progress during the last few decades. A number of factors affect postoperative range of motion, pain and prosthetic durability. Among these factors, the length of the lever arm and joint stability is the ones that can be altered by the selected prosthetic component. READ MORE

8. Developments in the Field of Aza-Diels-Alder Reactions, Catalytic Michael Additions and Automated Synthesis
Abstract : The development of new aza-bicyclic structures with potential applications as ligands synthesised via an aza-Diels-Alder cycloaddition has been studied. The studies are concerning the i) development of large scale aza-Diels-Alder reaction, ii) development of a fast and simple route to bicyclic diamine ligands, iii) development of new aza-Diels-Alder adducts from different dienes, iv) development and application of bicyclic N,P ligands for catalytic Michael additions and v) development of robotized asymmetric transfer hydrogenation reactions. 9. Ulnar fractures and ligament injuries of the wrist
Abstract : Falling over on an outstretched hand with the wrist extended is a common accident that can cause a multitude of injuries in the wrist. Research has mainly focused on distal radius fractures while injuries of the distal ulna and adjacent ligaments have taken a back seat. READ MORE

10. Arthroplasty in Elbow Fracture Treatment
Abstract : Open reduction and internal fixation is the treatment of choice for distal humeral fractures. Stable fixation is required to allow early mobilisation and to reduce the risk of poor functional results. In an elderly patient with osteoporotic bone and with a comminuted intra-articular fracture stable internal fixation can be difficult to achieve. READ MORE
