1. Lean Implementation : the significance of people and dualism
Abstract : Lean, with its origins at the Toyota Motor Company, is a concept that is known to increase effectiveness in manufacturing. The Lean concept is now argued to be relevant not only in manufacturing but in service and health-care delivery as well. The reported results of Lean implementation efforts are divided. READ MORE

2. Thick and Thin Ti2AlC Coatings
Abstract : This Thesis explores the deposition techniques of magnetron sputtering and high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying for Ti2AlC as a promising high-temperature material. Magnetron sputtering aims at producing thin (≤1 μm) Ti2AlC films of high crystal quality for use as a model system in understanding the material’s basic properties. READ MORE

3. Senior Managers and Lean- The importance of becoming a practitioner
Abstract : Considered to be one of the most influential paradigms in manufacturing, Lean has developed and expanded beyond the shop floor and manufacturing environment of the auto industry. Lean is considered to be applicable throughout organizations and other industries besides manufacturing. READ MORE

4. Asymmetric and symmetric hydration of hydrated anions in aqueous solution
Abstract : The interaction between solvent and solute is a very important chemical property that has large impact on the chemical reactions taking place. In Paper I and II the structure of hydrated sulfite, selenite and selenate in aqueous solutions are determined and compared. READ MORE

5. Hydration of oxo anions : a combined computational and experimental structure and dynamics study in aqueous solutions
Abstract : The structure and dynamics of several hydrated oxo anions were studied using multiple methodologies. Aqueous solutions of sulfate, sulfite, thiosulfate, peroxysulfate, selenite, selenate, hypochlorite, chlorite, chlorate, perchlorate, bromate, iodate and periodate salts were studied using large angle X-ray scattering (LAXS) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy.
