    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ash transformation; process control; equilibrium calculations; boiler availability; failures; alloy selection; alloy degradation; vortex finder VF ; service life estimation; sulfation; chloridation; high temperature corrosion; biomass; waste derived fuels; forest residues; RDF; Biomal; slaughterhouse waste; peat; waste wood; industrial waste water treatment sludge; HAD; RSMT; Alloy 253MA; Alloy 310S; Alloy 800H HT; Alloy DS; Alloy 600;

    Abstract : The effects of greenhouse gas net emissions on global warming, stricter legislation on waste handling, and the pursuit of ever cheaper heat- and power production are all important factors driving the introduction of complex fuels in incineration plants. However - without fundamental knowledge regarding ash transformation, corrosion control, and materials selection – this introduction of potentially economically and environmentally beneficial fuels, might instead cause economic loss and environmentally adverse effects. 2. 17. Intra-industry trade: measurements, determinants and growth : a study of Swedish foreign trade

    Author : Pär Hansson; Lars Lundberg; David Greenaway; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Intra-industry trade; determinants; comparative costs; factor intensity; product differentiation; elasticity of substitution; economies of scale; quasi-homothetictastes; Sweden; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Abstract : The conclusions are that a traditional factor proportions model seems neither theoretically nor empirically to explaing IIT. However, a relaxation of the assumption of homogeneous products in an industry gives rise to several implications for IIT. READ MORE

  3. 18. Ergonomics at Home : Design for Safe Living and Home Care

    Author : Jenny Hjalmarson; Tore Johan Larsson; Stefan Lundberg; Lars Nyberg; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ergonomics; aging; work posture; four-wheeled walker; home care worker; living at home; accessibility;

    Abstract : The home should represent safety and security for the person who lives there, and this is an important factor for independence and autonomy in very old age. With aging populations, the needs for long-term care increase, care provided by spouses and/or from the growing home care sector. Injuries among these groups are common. READ MORE

  4. 19. Parallel algorithms for real-time railway rescheduling

    Author : Sai Prashanth Josyula; Johanna Törnquist Krasemann; Lars Lundberg; Mats Brorsson; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : In railway traffic systems, it is essential to achieve a high punctuality to satisfy the goals of the involved stakeholders. Thus, whenever disturbances occur, it is important to effectively reschedule trains while considering the perspectives of various stakeholders. READ MORE

  5. 20. Parallel algorithms for solving the train timetable rescheduling problem

    Author : Sai Prashanth Josyula; Johanna Törnquist Krasemann; Lars Lundberg; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Parallel computing; Parallel heuristic search algorithms; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : In railways, it is essential to achieve high train punctuality. Thus, whenever disturbances occur, it is important to reschedule the trains effectively. This task is typically handled manually by traffic controllers in real-time. READ MORE
