2. Process chain simulation of forming, welding and heat treatment of Alloy 718
Abstract : Manufacturing of aero engine components requires attention to residual stress and final shape of the product in order to meet high quality product standards. This sets very high demands on involved manufacturing steps to meet design requirements. READ MORE

3. Optical Absorption and Electrical Conductivity in Lithium Intercalated Amorphous Tungsten Oxide Films
Abstract : Optical and electrical properties of electrochemically lithium ion intercalated thin films of x-ray amorphous tungsten oxide made by magnetron sputtering on glass substrates coated with a thin layer of conductive tin doped indium oxide, have been studied. The composition and the density of the films were characterized by the ion beam analysis methods Rutherford Backscattering Spectroscopy and Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis. READ MORE

4. Anomaly detection in the surveillance domain
Abstract : In the post September 11 era, the demand for security has increased in virtually all parts of the society. The need for increased security originates from the emergence of new threats which differ from the traditional ones in such a way that they cannot be easily defined and are sometimes unknown or hidden in the “noise” of daily life.
