11. Bystander CPR : New aspects of CPR training among students and the importance of bystander education level on survival
Abstract : Background: It has been proved that bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) saves lives; however, which training method in CPR is most instructive and whether survival is affected by the training level of the bystander have not yet been fully described. Aim: To identify the factors that may affect 7th grade students’ acquisition of CPR skills during CPR training and their willingness to act, and to describe 30-day survival from outof- hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) after bystander CPR and the actions performed by laymen versus off-duty medically educated personnel. 12. Electrochemical Deposition of Nanostructured Metal/Metal-Oxide Coatings
Abstract : Electrochemical deposition finds applications in the electronics- and protective coating industries. The technique is a versatile tool for the synthesis of alloys and thin films. Knowledge of the fundamental aspects of the electrode processes enables the design of nanostructured materials. READ MORE

13. Stem cell function and organ development : analysis of Lhx2 function in hematopoietic stem cells and eye development
Abstract : When a multicellular organism suffers damages to tissues/organs it heals itself by either substituting the lost cellular matrix by scar formation or by regenerating the lost tissue. Regeneration likely occurs by a recapitulation of the developmental process that formed the organ. READ MORE

14. Screening for Candidate Brain Tumor Genes : Identifying Genes that Cooperate with Platelet-Derived Growth Factor in Glioma Development and Progression
Abstract : Malignant primary brain tumors, gliomas, often overexpress both platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) ligands and receptors providing an autocrine and/or paracrine boost to tumor growth. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most frequent glioma. Its aggressive and infiltrative growth renders it extremely difficult to treat. READ MORE

15. The role of Lhx2 in hair follicle morphogenesis and regeneration
Abstract : Hair is important for thermoregulation, physical protection, sensory activity, seasonal camouflage and social interactions. Hair is produced in hair follicles (HFs), complex mini-organs in the skin devoted to this task. READ MORE
