  1. 1. Heating and drying wood using microwave power

    Author : Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wood Physics; Träfysik;

    Abstract : The potentials for moisture flux in wood during microwave heating have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The experiments were performed in three different kinds of microwave applicators. A computer model based on the finite difference method was developed to describe and predict the heat and mass transfer. READ MORE

  3. 3. All-oxide ceramic matrix composites

    Author : Marta-Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : This work has concerned the preparation and properties of all-oxide composites. The most common examples of such materials are composites of oxide particles in an oxide matrix, continuous oxide fibres in an oxide matrix and layered composites consisting of alternate layers of different oxides. 4. 4. Preparation and properties of sapphire/alumina long fibre composites

    Author : Marta-Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : The research described in the thesis concerns the preparation and properties of oxide/oxide composites and in particular composites consisting of an oxide matrix reinforced with continuous oxide fibres and intended for use as structural materials at very high temperatures. For this application particular attention must be paid to the behaviour of the fibre/matrix interface and to the properties of the fibre. READ MORE

  5. 5. Microstructure and hydrogen embrittlement of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V

    Author : Magnus Neikter; Marta-Lena Antti; Pia Åkerfeldt; Robert Pederson; Ola Harrysson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ti-6Al-4V; Additive Manufacturing; Texture; Microstructure; Hydrogen Embrittlement; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : The work of this doctoral thesis has been performed between the 24th of August 2015 to the 6th of September 2019. The general purpose of this work has been to increase the knowledge of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V when it comes to microstructure, texture and hydrogen embrittlement. READ MORE
