  1. 1. Nanofibrillar Materials for Organic and Printable Electronics

    Author : Ana Lopez Cabezas; Li-Rong Zheng; Shi-Li Zhang; Zhi-Bin Zhang; Donald Lupo; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Organic electronics; polyaniline; carbon nanotubes; composite; spray coating; solution processability; morphology; electrical conductivity; ageing; sensor; system integration;

    Abstract : In recent years, organic electronics have attracted great attention due to their multiple advantages such as light weight, flexibility, large area fabrication and cost-effective production processes. The recent progress in fabricating organic electronic devices has been achieved with the development of new materials which provide competing functionalities to the electronics devices. READ MORE

  2. 2. The Role of Odor and Sensory Irritation in Human Chemical Sensitivity

    Author : Li Zheng; Birgitta Berglund; Staffan Hygge; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Odor and irritation detection; recognition; threshold; choice theory; intensity; chemical sensitivity; threshold; and sensitivity index.; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Abstract : The main objective of this thesis is to apply complimentary psychophysical theories and methods to investigate human perception of odor and sensory irritation of chemical compounds present in indoor air. Three psychophysical theories: Signal Detection Theory (SDT), Threshold Theory and Luce’s Choice Theory (CT) were applied to measure detection and recognition of odor and sensory irritation of two odorous irritants (pyridine and formaldehyde) by using the method of constant stimuli. 3. 3. Theoretical and Experimental Investigations of Nonlinear Flame Instability

    Author : Li-Zheng Ma; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; nonlinear hydrodynamic instability; flame propagation and stretch effects; shock induced flame instability; tulip flame formation; interface tracking; the Schlieren technique; level set approach;

    Abstract : Flame instability is both important and difficult to understand. Mechanisms of instability are complex, because instability often involves an interaction between several different physical phenomena, such as an unsteady chemical reaction, unsteady flame propagation generating an unsteady flow, acoustic waves or shock waves.
