1. Regulation of Human Papillomavirus Type 16 Late L1 mRNA Splicing
Abstract : Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) cause almost half of the human cancers that are attributable to viruses. HPV type 16 is the most carcinogenic type among the HPVs and is detected in 50% of all cervical cancers. HPV-16 infects epithelial cells and HPV-16 gene expression is tightly linked to the differentiation stage of the infected cells. READ MORE

2. Activity of tumor-antigens in polyomavirus replication
Abstract : Polyomavirus replication needs an active cell environment, and the viral DNA replication is cell cycle regulated. Tumor antigens (T-antigens) of mouse polyomavirus, especially large T-antigen, are necessary for the replication. READ MORE

3. Polycyclic aromatic compounds (PAC) in diesel fuels and exhaust emissions : aspects of sampling techniques, chemical determination, multivariate data interpretation and PAC emissions reduction
Abstract : The rapid growth in the number of motor vehicles has raised serious environmental health hazard problems in urban areas associated with vehicle exhaust emissions. Exhaust emissions from heavy duty diesel vehicles are very complex mixtures containing thousands of chemical components distributed between the particulate, semivolatile and gaseous phases. READ MORE

4. Studies of VEGF-B and novel PDGFs in tumorigenesis and angiogenesis
Abstract : The family of VEGF/PDGF growth factors and their receptors are important regulators of tumorigenesis and angiogenesis. VEGFs have been shown to play important roles in development of both blood and lymphatic vessels by effect on endothelia cells. READ MORE

5. Diverse cyclic dinucleotide signals regulate Escherichia coli lifestyle transition
Abstract : Bacteria have the ability to change their lifestyle to adapt to various environmental conditions. Cyclic dinucleotides (cDNs) are ubiquitous second messengers that can regulate fundamental lifestyle switches, such as motility versus sessility and acute versus chronic virulence, in bacteria.
