11. Micro-photoluminescence and micro-Raman spectroscopy of novel semiconductor nanostructures
Abstract : Low-dimensional semiconductor structures, such as one-dimensional nanowires (NWs) and zerodimensional quantum dots (QDs), are materials with novel fundamental physical properties and a great potential for a wide range of nanoscale device applications. Here, especially promising are direct bandgap II-VI and III-V compounds and related alloys with a broad selection of compositions and band structures. READ MORE

12. My Home is my Castle : Residential Well being and Perceived Safety in Different Types of Housing Areas in Sweden
Abstract : Background: Safety in the housing environment is a basic human need and may be a prerequisite for health but studies from the perspective of the residents are limited in the literature. Although historically public health research has recognized the housing environment as an important determinant of health, there is a need for more research on how housing conditions influence residential well-being. 13. Modeling disturbances of cholinergic systems : possible relevance for schizophrenia
Abstract : Schizophrenia is a severe, chronic mental disorder. The etiology remains unknown but alterations in cholinergic neurotransmission is one, among other, disturbances in the brain that have been implicated in schizophrenia. READ MORE

14. Topological Phase Transitions in Magnetic Nanostructures of Dirac Materials
Abstract : Over the past two decades, the discovery of topological Dirac materials, such as topological insulators and semimetals, has defined a new paradigm in condensed matter physics and established new platforms for realizing spin electronic devices and quantum computing. The novel quantum properties of these materials, which are mainly due to the presence of strong spin-orbit coupling, are invariant under topological transformations, making them more resilient to structural disorder, electromagnetic and thermal fluctuations in comparison to the conventional silicon-based materials. 15. Describing Interstitials in Close-packed Lattices: First-principles Study
Abstract : Describing interstitial atoms in intermetallics or simple mono-atomic close-packed metals is a straightforward procedure in common full-potential calculations. One establishes a sufficiently large supercell, introduces the interstitial impurity and performs the electronic structure and total energy calculation. READ MORE
