  1. 1. The Location and Variability of Southern ocean Fronts

    Author : Robert M. Graham; Agatha M. de Boer; Jonas Nycander; Qiong Zhang; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The location of fronts has a direct influence on both the physical and biological processes in the Southern Ocean. Moreover, the Subtropical Front (STF) is believed play a key role in the global climate system. READ MORE

  2. 2. Electronic and atomic structure of metal induced reconstructionson Si(lll) and Ge(lll) surfaces studied by PES and STM

    Author : Hanmin M. Zhang; Hanno H. Weitering; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Deposition of metal atoms on semiconductors leads in many cases to reconstructed surfaces. The lack of symmetry in the direction normal to the surface allows for a large variety in the atomic arrangements of the surface reconstructions. In the case of silicon, more than 300 kinds of adsorbate-induced surface reconstructions have been found. READ MORE

  3. 3. On Sahelian-Sudan rainfall and its moisture sources

    Author : Abubakr A. M. Salih; Qiong Zhang; Michael Tjernström; Alessandra Giannini; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sudan; Sahel; rainfall; land use; deforestation; moisture sources; moisture transport; Lagrangian; moisture tagging; regional model; climate modeling; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Abstract : The African Sahel is one of the most vulnerable regions to climate variability at different time scales. It is an arid to semi-arid region with limited water resources. The summer rainfall is one of these sources, but it exhibits pronounced interannual variability. This thesis presents several aspects of Sahelian Sudan rainfall. READ MORE

  4. 4. Solution-Processable Conductive Graphene-Based Materials for Flexible Electronics

    Author : Jie Zhao; Zhi-Bin Zhang; Shi-Li Zhang; Matti Mäntysalo; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Graphene; Graphene oxide; Silver; Copper; Composite; Conductive inks; Flexible electronics; Printed electronics; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Abstract : This thesis work explores electrical conductors based on few-layer graphene flakes as an enabler for low-cost, mechanically flexible, and high-conductivity conductors in large area flexible and printed electronic devices. The flakes are deposited from aqueous solutions and processed at low temperature. READ MORE

  5. 5. Aqueous graphene dispersions for paper packaging

    Author : Wei Zhao; Anwar Ahniyaz; Abhilash Sugunan; Thomas Gillgren; Johan A. Larsson; Zhi-Bin Zhang; Shi-Li Zhang; Valeria Nicolosi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Graphene; Aqueous graphene dispersions; Noncovalent interactions; Composites; Barriers; Inkjet printing; Kemi med inriktning mot kemisk fysik; Chemistry with specialization in Chemical Physics;

    Abstract : Graphene is widely touted as the thinnest and the most versatile material available. As an atomically thin layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal configuration, graphene has a combination of technologically important properties, such as thermal and electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and impermeability to gases.
