    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Rice; Wheat; Straw; MDF; HDF; UF; MUF; MDI; Non-resin; binderless MDF; Ash; Silicon; SEM; Hot-pressing; MOR; MOE; IB; Thickness swelling; MDF properties; fibre swelling; WRV; Refining; Defibration.; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik; Chemical process and manufacturing engineering; Kemisk process- och produktionsteknik;

    Abstract : The purpose of this thesis was to develop an economical, sustainable, and environmentally friendly straw Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) process, capable of full-scale manufacturing and to produce MDF of requested quality. The investigated straw was based on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and rice (Oryzae sativa L.). READ MORE

  2. 2. Fluid flow in wood fiber network

    Author : Patrik Pettersson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Strömningslära; Fluid Mechanics;

    Abstract : Cellulose material is processed to pulp suspensions and MDF boards in order to produce products such as papers, magazines, laminate floors or door skins. A critical stage of these processes is when the cellulose fiber networks are compressed to specific densities and when most of the fluid originally positioned between and inside the fibers is forced to leave the network. 3. 3. Significance of transport dynamics on concentration statistics and expected mass fraction based risk assessment in the subsurface

    Author : Veljko Srzic; Vladimir Cvetkovic; Olaf A. Cirpka; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Local scale dispersion; Heterogeneity structure; Concentration moments; Moment collapse; Expected mass fraction;

    Abstract : This thesis relies on a Langrangian framework used for conservative tracer transport simulations through 2-D heterogeneous porous media. Conducted numerical simulations enable large sets of concentration values in both spatial and temporal domains. READ MORE
