21. Circadian plasticity in the neuromuscular junction of Drosophila melanogaster
Abstract : A biological clock exists in many organisms and controls rhythmic behaviors such as the activity pattern of locomotion. At the cellular level, it has been shown that circadian rhythms in the morphology of neurons exist in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. READ MORE

22. Extracellular Matrix and Connective Tissue Cells of the Tumor Microenvironment
Abstract : In addition to malignant cells, solid tumors comprise supporting stromal tissue that consists of extra cellular matrix (ECM), connective tissue cells, inflammatory cells and blood vessels. The stromal compartment and the malignant cells together shape the tumor microenvironment that in turn determines tumor progression and efficacy of anti-tumor treatments. READ MORE

23. Satellite cells in human skeletal muscle : molecular identification quantification and function
Abstract : Skeletal muscle satellite cells located between the plasma membrane and the basal lamina of muscle fibres, could for many years, only be studied in situ by electron microscopy. The introduction of immunohistochemistry and the discovery of molecular markers of satellite cells then made them accessible for light microscopic studies and a wealth of information is today available. 24. Deposition and Resolution of AA Amyloid
Abstract : Amyloidosis is a group of protein misfolding diseases characterized by extracellulardeposition of fibrillar protein aggregates. Today more than 25 different human amyloidogenicproteins have been identified, causing a variety of pathological conditions that includeAlzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes and prion diseases. 25. Assessment of eosinophil degranulation in allergic diseases and experimental models
Abstract : In allergic disorders, the eosinophilic granulocytes migrate to affected tissues and release granule proteins with cytotoxic, immunoregulatory, and remodeling-promoting properties. Given that degranulation is reflected by a loss in eosinophil granule density of living cells, or by cell membrane rupture and release of intact granules, these morphological changes may represent a biomarker of the allergic disease.
