11. Practical Deployment Aspects of Cell-Free Massive MIMO Networks
Abstract : The ever-growing demand of wireless traffic poses a challenge for current cellular networks. Each new generation must find new ways to boost the network capacity and spectral efficiency (SE) per device. A pillar of 5G is massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) technology. READ MORE

12. Doctoral Thesis: Massive MIMO in Real Propagation Environments
Abstract : Mobile communications are now evolving towards the fifth generation (5G). In the near future, we expect an explosive increase in the number of connected devices, such as phones, tablets, sensors, connected vehicles and so on. Much higher data rates than in today's 4G systems are required. READ MORE

13. On Massive MIMO Base Stations with Low-End Hardware
Abstract : Massive MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) base stations have proven, both in theory and in practice, to possess many of the qualities that future wireless communication systems will require. They can provide equally high data rates throughout their coverage area and can concurrently serve multiple low-end handsets without requiring wider spectrum, denser base station deployment or significantly more power than current base stations. 14. Distributed Massive MIMO : Random Access, Extreme Multiplexing and Synchronization
Abstract : The data traffic in wireless networks has grown tremendously over the past few decades and is ever-increasing. Moreover, there is an enormous demand for speed as well. READ MORE

15. Characterization of Small Antennas & Wireless Devices for MIMO Systems in Multipath & Line-of-Sight
Abstract : The current thesis investigates over-the-air (OTA) performance characterization of small antennas and wireless terminals in rich isotropic multipath (RIMP) environment, as well as in pure line-of-sight (LOS) environment when taking into account the random positions and orientations of the mobile terminals caused by the realistic user behavior. The latest mobile wireless terminals such as smart phones and tablets can be used in any random orientation thereby making even a received LOS-component appear as a random voltage at the antenna ports over time.
