  1. 16. Design of VCO-based ADCs

    Author : Vishnu Unnikrishnan; Mark Vesterbacka; Trond Ytterdal; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Today's complex electronic systems with billions of transistors on a single die are enabled by the aggressive scaling down of the device feature size at an exponential rate as predicted by the Moore's law. Digital circuits benefit from technology scaling to become faster, more energy efficient as well as more area efficient as the feature size is scaled down. READ MORE

  2. 17. Using Inhomogeneous Neuronal–Synaptic Dynamics for Spatiotemporal Pattern Recognition in Neuromorphic Processors

    Author : Mattias Nilsson; Fredrik Sandin; Foteini Liwicki; Jerker Delsing; Elisabetta Chicca; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cyber-Physical Systems; Cyberfysiska system;

    Abstract : Mixed-signal neuromorphic processors emulate the electrochemical dynamics of neurons and synapses using conventional analog CMOS-transistor technology and have potential for ultra-low-power machine learning and inference. However, the energy-efficiency of such systems is dependent on sparse, time-based information encoding and processing, and they are, furthermore, subject to imprecision from “device mismatch” in the analog circuitry. 3. 18. Deep Learning Side-Channel Attacks on Advanced Encryption Standard

    Author : Huanyu Wang; Elena Dubrova; Mark Smith; Francesco Regazzoni; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Side-channel attack; Deep learning; Advanced Encryption Standard; Hardware security; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : Side-channel attacks (SCAs) have become one of the most realistic threats to implementations of cryptographic algorithms. By exploiting the nonprime, unintentional physical leakage, such as different amount of power consumed by the device during the execution of the cryptographic algorithm, SCAs are able to bypass the theoretical strength of cryptography and extract the secret key. 4. 19. Modeling and Analysis of Wideband Sigma-Delta Noise Shapers

    Author : Andreas Göthenberg; KTH; []
    Keywords : Data Converters; Oversampling; Sigma-Delta; Modulators; Wideband; Noise Shapers; Sampling Switches; Substrate Noise Coupling;

    Abstract : The continuous evolution of CMOS technologies towards deepsubmicron processes has provided new opportunities forintegration of mixed-signal systems on single monolithicintegrated circuits. In order to find the optimal usage of CMOStechnology and robustness against undesired mixed-signalcouplings, new approaches to CMOS front-end integration areneeded. READ MORE

  5. 20. Studies on Design Automation of Analog Circuits : the Design Flow

    Author : Emil Hjalmarson; Svensson Mattiasson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : During the past few years the concept of system-on-chip (SoC) have become an important segment in the market of integrated circuits. This recent development have increased not only the number of devices and the functionality that can be put on a chip, but the chips now includes both digital and analog circuits. READ MORE
