6. Potential Flow Panel Methods for the Calculation of Free-surface Flows with Lift
Abstract : Two non-linear Rankine-source panel methods are developed and implemented in the same computer code. The first method uses a four-point upwind operator on the free-surface to compute the velocity derivatives and to enforce the radiation condition while the second method uses an analytical expression for the velocity derivatives and a collocation point shift one panel upstream to prevent upstream waves. 7. Carbon-graphite fiber-reinforced polymers for implant suprastructures
Abstract : Carbon-graphite fiber-reinforced polymers (CGFR) can be used as the core material for implant-retained prostheses as an alternative to metal frameworks. The purpose was to formulate and develop carbon-graphite fiber-reinforced polymers intended for implant suprastructures and to determine physicochemical, mechanical properties and possible cytotoxic effects. 8. Gene-environment interactions for arsenic metabolism and metal-related oxidatively generated DNA damage
Abstract : Over 100 million people around the world are exposed to high concentrations of arsenic (As) in drinking water, associated with a number of adverse health effects such as skin, lung and bladder cancer, vascular diseases and diabetes. In humans, As is metabolized via alternating reduction and methylation reactions, from inorganic As (iAs) into monomethylated (MMA) and dimethylated As (DMA). READ MORE

9. Vitamin B12 and folate depletion in the elderly. Diagnosis, clinical correlates and causes
Abstract : Subclinical vitamin B12 and folate deficiency is common in the elderly. The clinical significance remains unresolved. There is not a universally accepted set of laboratory criteria for diagnosis, however subclinical deficiency is important to diagnose since it is easy to treat. READ MORE

10. Metabolic and pharmacokinetic study to enhance busulphan therapeutic efficacy
Abstract : Busulphan (Bu) is an alkylating agent used in high-doses as part of the conditioning regimen prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). HSCT is a curative treatment for hematological malignancies and other disorders. Bu can be administered by oral or intravenous route. READ MORE
