  1. 21. Organic Bioelectronics : Electrochemical Devices using Conjugated Polymers

    Author : Joakim Isaksson; Magnus Berggren; Ananth Dodabalapur; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : Since the Nobel Prize awarded discovery that some polymers or “plastics” can be made electronically conducting, the scientific field of organic electronics has arisen. The use of conducting polymers in electronic devices is appealing, because the materials can be processed from a liquid phase, much like ordinary non-conducting plastics. READ MORE

  2. 22. Wireless Bioelectronic Devices Driven by Deep Red Light

    Author : Marie Jakešová; Magnus Berggren; Daniel T Simon; Fredrik Elinder; Diego Ghezzi; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The use of electronic devices in medical care is one of the main targets of precision medicine. The field of bioelectronic medicine uses electronic devices to diagnose or treat diseases and disorders in a complementary or alternative way to chemical drugs. READ MORE

  3. 23. Charge transport modulation in organic electronic diodes

    Author : Fredrik Lars Emil Jakobsson; Magnus Berggren; Xavier Crispin; Paul W. M. Blom; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic electronics; switch device; memory; photochromic; trapping; resistance switching; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : Since the discovery of conducting polymers three decades ago the field of organic electronics has evolved rapidly. Organic light emitting diodes have already reached the consumer market, while organic solar cells and transistors are rapidly maturing. One of the great benefits with this class of materials is that they can be processed from solution. READ MORE

  4. 24. Organic electronics for precise delivery of neurotransmitters

    Author : Amanda Jonsson; Magnus Berggren; Daniel Simon; Marco Rolandi; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Organic electronic materials, that is, carbon-based compounds that conduct electricity, have emerged as candidates for improving the interface between conventional electronics and biological systems. The softness of these materials matches the elasticity of biological tissue better than conventional electronic conductors, allowing better contact to tissue, and the mixed ionic-electronic conductivity can improve the signal transduction between electronic devices and electrically excitable cells. 5. 25. Novel architectures for flexible electrochemical devices and systems

    Author : Jun Kawahara; Peter Andersson Ersman; Magnus Berggren; Frederik C. Krebs; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Electrically conducting polymers were discovered in the late 1970s. This finding generated a whole new research area named organic electronics, an area which has attracted great interest and tremendous achievements, in terms of devices and applications, have been reached by different research groups all over the world.
