1. Carbon and nitrogen fluxes associated to marine and estuarine phytoplankton
Abstract : Globally, mainly nitrogen or phosphorus is limiting the primary production. New nitrogen can enter estuarine ecosystems as nitrate from upwelling events, from river runoff, atmospheric deposition, or by nitrogen fixation. READ MORE

2. Stabilisation of electron dense transition metal hydrogen complexes in the solid state
Abstract : The formation, structure and bonding in the solid state homoleptic palladium-hydrogen complexes; K2[PdIIH4], Li2[Pd0H2], Na2[Pd0H2], NaBa[Pd0H3], Sr2[Pd0H4] and Ba2[Pd0H4]have been studied by means of X-ray and neutron diffraction, infrared-, Raman-, and inelastic neutron spectroscopy. The results from these investigations combined with theoretical calculations have identified a new stabilisation model for electron dense transition metal hydrogen complexes which is described in this thesis. 3. How to reduce the exposure to anticoagulants when performing haemodialysis in patients with a bleeding risk : a study of methods used in clinical practise
Abstract : When a patient suffers from kidney failure and also has an enhanced risk of bleeding, the standard haemodialysis (HD) treatment becomes a problem. When human blood comes in contact with artificial material, as in the tubing system and in the dialyser (the extra corporeal circuit, ECC), the coagulation system is activated. READ MORE

Abstract : Amyloid diseases are a world-wide problem causing great human suffer and large economical costs. Although amyloid deposits, a common denominator in all amyloid disorders, are detrimental to the surrounding tissue, there is a poor correlation between total amyloid burden and clinical symptoms.
