  1. 1. All-oxide ceramic matrix composites

    Author : Marta-Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : This work has concerned the preparation and properties of all-oxide composites. The most common examples of such materials are composites of oxide particles in an oxide matrix, continuous oxide fibres in an oxide matrix and layered composites consisting of alternate layers of different oxides. 2. 2. Preparation and properties of sapphire/alumina long fibre composites

    Author : Marta-Lena Antti; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : The research described in the thesis concerns the preparation and properties of oxide/oxide composites and in particular composites consisting of an oxide matrix reinforced with continuous oxide fibres and intended for use as structural materials at very high temperatures. For this application particular attention must be paid to the behaviour of the fibre/matrix interface and to the properties of the fibre. READ MORE

  3. 3. Microstructure and hydrogen embrittlement of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V

    Author : Magnus Neikter; Marta-Lena Antti; Pia Åkerfeldt; Robert Pederson; Ola Harrysson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ti-6Al-4V; Additive Manufacturing; Texture; Microstructure; Hydrogen Embrittlement; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : The work of this doctoral thesis has been performed between the 24th of August 2015 to the 6th of September 2019. The general purpose of this work has been to increase the knowledge of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V when it comes to microstructure, texture and hydrogen embrittlement. READ MORE

  4. 4. Refractory High Entropy Alloys and Films for High Temperature Applications

    Author : Sajid Ali Alvi; Farid Akhtar; Marta-Lena Antti; Ulf Jansson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering Materials; Materialteknik;

    Abstract : High-entropy alloy (HEA) is a multi-component alloy constituting five or more principal elements in equi- or near equi-atomic percentages. The high configurational entropy in a HEA composition, in contrast to conventional alloys, leads to the stabilisation of the alloying elements in stable solid solutions of face-centred-cubic (FCC), body-centred-cubic (BCC) and/or amorphous structures. 5. 5. Synthesis and Characterization of High Entropy Alloy and Coating

    Author : Sajid Alvi; Farid Akhtar; Marta-Lena Antti; Don Seo; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering Materials; Materialteknik;

    Abstract : High entropy alloys (HEAs) are a new class of alloys that contains five or more principal elements in equiatomic or near-equiatomic proportional ratio. The configuration entropy in the HEAs tends to stabilize the solid solution formation, such as body-centered-cubic (BCC), face-centered-cubic (FCC) and/or hexagonal-closed-pack (HCP) solid solution.
