  1. 1. Huvudgårdar och herravälden : En studie av småländsk medeltid

    Author : Martin Hansson; Historisk arkeologi; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Middle Ages; nobility; lordship; manors; churches; runic stones; social space; Småland;

    Abstract : This dissertation focuses on the medieval nobility and its manors in the inland of Småland. The problems tackled in the dissertation may be divided into two major complexes. READ MORE

  2. 2. Probabilistic System Effects in Timber Structures

    Author : Martin Hansson; Avdelningen för Konstruktionsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Byggnadsteknik; Building construction; Anläggningsteknik; Construction technology; first order reliability method; Monte Carlo simulation; system effect; sheathed parallel member system; structural timber; roof truss;

    Abstract : The main purpose of the performed research presented in this thesis is to increase the understanding of the effect of variability of strength properties on the reliability of timber structural systems. Compared to other structural materials such as steel and concrete, structural timber has a considerably higher variability of strength both within and between members. READ MORE

  3. 3. Low-Power Clocking and Circuit Techniques for Leakage and Process Variation Compensation

    Author : Martin Hansson; Atila Alvandpour; Ram Krishnamurthy; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Low-power; resonant clocking; multi-GHz; CMOS; leakage tolerance; low-leakage techniques; process variation; process variation compensation; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Abstract : Over the last four decades the integrated circuit industry has evolved in a tremendous pace. This success has been driven by the scaling of device sizes leading to higher and higher integration capability, which have enabled more functionality and higher performance. READ MORE

  4. 4. Low-Power Multi-GHz Circuit Techniques for On-chip Clocking

    Author : Martin Hansson; Atila Alvandpour; Per Larsson-Edefors; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CMOS; low-power; high-performance; flip-flop; clocking; leakage-compensation; process-variation; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Abstract : The impressive evolution of modern high-performance microprocessors have resulted in chips with over one billion transistors as well as multi-GHz clock frequencies. As the silicon integrated circuit industry moves further into the nanometer regime, three of the main challenges to overcome in order for continuing CMOS technology scaling are; growing standby power dissipation, increasing variations in process parameters, and increasing power dissipation due to growing clock load and circuit complexity. 5. 5. Overconfidence and Format Dependence in Subjective Probability Intervals: Naive Estimation and Constrained Sampling

    Author : Patrik Hansson; Peter Juslin; Carl Martin Allwood; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Abstract : A particular field in research on judgment and decision making (JDM) is concerned with realism of confidence in one’s knowledge. An interesting finding is the so-called format dependence effect which implies that assessment of the same probability distribution generates different conclusions about over- or underconfidence bias depending on the assessment format.
