7. The role of benthic macrofauna in nitrogen cycling in eutrophic lake sediment
Abstract : This thesis concerns the role of sediment-living macrobenthos in the cycling of nitrogen species and nitrogen transformation in eutrophic freshwater sediments. In my thesis I have, employing 15N-isotope techniques in laboratory experiments, shown the importance of infaunal chironomid larvae and oligochaetes on denitrification in eutrophic lake sediments. 8. Promoting Semantic Interoperability of Contextual Metadata for Learner Generated Digital Content
Abstract : Technological advancements in computing have led to a reality where computational devices are more mobile, connected and context aware than ever before. Several of these devices are primarily designed for or support the creation of digital content via built-in or attachable sensors, e.g. mobile phones. READ MORE

9. The use of structural equation modeling to describe the effect of operator functional state on air-to-air engagement outcomes
Abstract : Computational evidence of the operative usefulness of a new system is crucial in large system development processes concerning billions of euros or dollars. Although it is obvious that the human often is the most important and critical component of many systems, it has often been hard for Human Factors researchers to express human aspects in a computational and strict way.
