1. Children’s early mathematics learning and development : Number game interventions and number line estimations
Abstract : Children’s early mathematics learning and development have become a topic of increasing interest over the past decade since early mathematical knowledge and skills have been shown to be a strong predictor of later mathematics performance. Understanding how children develop mathematical knowledge and skills and how they can be supported in their early learning could thus prove to be a vital component in promoting learning of more formal mathematics. 2. Kollegialt lärande i matematik : Ett verksamhetsteoretiskt perspektiv
Abstract : In the last decade, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are increasingly used as models for teachers’ joint efforts in developing their teaching. The overall aim of this licentiate thesis is to expand the knowledge of PLCs in mathematics, by deepening the understanding of aspects that influence the establishment, organization, and implementation of PLCs in mathematics. 3. Carleman type inequalities and Hardy type inequalities for monotone functions
Abstract : This Ph.D. thesis deals with various generalizations of the inequalities by Carleman, Hardy and Polya-Knopp. In Chapter 1 we give an introduction and overview of the area that serves as a frame for the rest of the thesis. READ MORE

4. Clarkson type inequalities and geometric properties of banach spaces
Abstract : In this thesis Clarkson's inequalities and their generalizations are the main tools. The technique that can be used to prove Clarkson type inequalities in more dimensions is shown. We also establish Clarkson type inequalities in general Banach spaces and point out the connections between Clarkson's inequalities and the concept of type and cotype. READ MORE

5. Exploring student collaboration during Data Generation in the Statistics Classroom : An Inferentialist Perspective
Abstract : This dissertation explores student collaboration during data generation in statistics. The first aim is to put the semantic theory of inferentialism to work and develop a theoretical lens for exploring student collaboration during data generation. READ MORE
