  3. 13. Bi-based high Tc superconductors and enhancement of critical current density

    Author : Shi-ju Guo; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Material Mechanics; Materialmekanik;

    Abstract : Basic bulk high temperature superconductors in the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system and the BiPb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system were prepared through the solid state reaction route and the coprecipitation method. The formation of 110 K phase promoted by partial Pb substitution for Bi was studied. Effects of heat treatment on 110K phase formation were studied. READ MORE

  4. 14. Modelling and Characterisation of the Martensite Formation in Low Alloyed Carbon Steels

    Author : Jessica Gyhlesten Back; Lars-Erik Lindgren; Göran Engberg; Bevis Hutchinson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dilatometry; Hardness; EBSD; Martensite; Austenite; Kurdjumov-Sachs; Phase transformation; Modelling; Material Mechanics; Materialmekanik; Steel Forming and Surface Engineering;

    Abstract : The current work contains experimental and theoretical work about the formation of martensite from the austenitic state of the steel Hardox 450. Simulation of rolling and subsequent quenching of martensitic steel plates requires a model that can account for previous deformation, current stresses and the temperature history, therefore dilatometry experiments were performed, with and without deformation. 5. 15. On the physics and chemical thermodynamics of laser cutting

    Author : Anders Ivarson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Material Mechanics; Materialmekanik;

    Abstract : Over the past two decades C02 laser cutting has grown from an obscure laboratory technique into an important branch of manufacturing engineering. Industrial application of the process has been extremely successful even though the cutting process is not thoroughly understood in detail. READ MORE
