    Abstract : The synthesis of some 11C-labelled (tl/2=20.3 min) monosaccharides is presented. Terminal labelled alkenes were synthesized and selectively oxidized using asymmetric dihydroxylation (AD) and palladium(II)-promoted oxidation.
