  1. 1. Resource Allocation with Potts Mean Field Neural Network Techniques

    Author : Martin Lagerholm; Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Potts; combinatorial optimization; ANN; mean field; approximation; routing; unicast; multicast; airline crew; scheduling; ECG; NP-complete.; Matematik; Mathematics; algorithm; Systems engineering; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap; Fysicumarkivet A:1998:Lagerholm;

    Abstract : Potts mean field artificial neural network techniques are developed and applied to airline crew scheduling problems and routing problems. A propagator formalism in terms of Potts neurons is developed to handle global topological issues. An integrated method for identifying and classifying ECG complexes is presented. READ MORE

  2. 2. Mean Field Games for Jump Non-Linear Markov Process

    Author : Rani Basna; Astrid Hilbert; Rainer Buckdahn; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mean-field games; Optimal Control; Non-linear Markov Processes; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : The mean-field game theory is the study of strategic decision making in very large populations of weakly interacting individuals. Mean-field games have been an active area of research in the last decade due to its increased significance in many scientific fields. READ MORE

  4. 4. Superfluidity and Supersolidity in Ultracold Atomic Gases Beyond Mean Field

    Author : Mikael Nilsson Tengstrand; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bose-Einstein condensation; superfluidity; supersolidity; ultracold atomic gases; dipolar gases; binary Bose mixtures; quantum droplets; beyond mean field; quantum fluctuations; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:Nilsson;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates ultracold bosonic systems using an extended mean-field formalism with a focus on their superfluid and supersolid properties. The dissertation comprises five chapters and four articles, where the chapters provide some background to the research put forward in articles. READ MORE

  5. 5. Polyelectrolyte - Surfactant Interactions in Dilute Suspensions. A Study Based on Monte Carlo simulations and Mean-Field Calcultations

    Author : Torsten Wallin; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aggregation number; linear charge density; chain flexibility; mean-field; calculation; simulation; Monte Carlo; cmc; cac; interaction; electrostatic; charged; micelle; polyelectrolyte; surfactant; hydrophilic; hydrophobic; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : The complexation of macroions or charged micelles and oppositely charged polyelectrolytes was studied by the use of Monte-Carlo simulations and mean field calculations. The Monte-Carlo simulations were performed on a simple model system with the emphasis on the electrostatic interaction, (i) polyelectrolyte rigidity, (ii) polyelectrolyte linear charge density, (iii) surfactant tail length, and (iv) the polyelectrolyte concentration.
