  1. 16. Pluripotential-theoretic methods in K-stability and the space of Kähler metrics

    Author : Mingchen Xia; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quasi-plurisubharmonic functions; K-stability; cscK metrics;

    Abstract : It is a natural problem, dating back to Calabi, to find canonical metrics on complex manifolds. In the case of polarized compact Kähler manifolds, a natural candidate is a metric with constant scalar curvature (cscK metric). READ MORE

  2. 17. Visualizing Dynamics –The Perception of Spatiotemporal Data in 2D and 3D

    Author : Andreas Kjellin; Mats Lind; Else Nygren; Kjell Ohlsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Människa-dator-interaktion; Human-Computer Interaction; Information Visualization; Usability; 2D; 3D; Cue Probability Learning; Space-time Cub; Människa-dator-interaktion;

    Abstract : In many command and control situations the understanding of dynamic events is crucial. With today’s development of hard- and software architecture, we have the possibility to visualize data in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) images. READ MORE

  3. 18. Dexterous Grasping : Representation and Optimization

    Author : Kaiyu Hang; Nancy Pollard; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dexterous Grasping; Hierarchical Fingertip Space; Grasp Planning; Grasp Adaptation; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : Many robot object interactions require that an object is firmly held, and that the grasp remains stable during the whole manipulation process. Based on grasp wrench space, this thesis address the problems of measuring the grasp sensitivity against friction changes, planning contacts and hand configurations on mesh and point cloud representations of arbitrary objects, planning adaptable grasps and finger gaiting for keeping a grasp stable under various external disturbances, as well as learning of grasping manifolds for more accurate reachability and inverse kinematics computation for multifingered grasping. 4. 19. Maximally Supersymmetric Models in Four and Six Dimensions

    Author : Fredrik Ohlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Taub-NUT space; Flat connections; Topologically non-trivial connections; 0 theory; Maximal supersymmetry; 2; Circle fibrations; Yang-Mills theory;

    Abstract : We consider two examples of maximally supersymmetric models; the N=4 Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions and the (2,0) theory in six dimensions. The first part of the thesis serves as an introduction to the topics covered in the appended research papers, and begins with a self-contained discussion of principal fibre bundles and symplectic geometry. 5. 20. Deep learning based simulation for automotive software development

    Author : Dhasarathy Parthasarathy; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; automotive software testing; latent space arithmetic; generative adversarial networks; explainable AI; sample selection bias;

    Abstract : The automotive industry is in the midst of a new reality where software is increasingly becoming the primary tool for delivering value to customers. While this has vastly improved their product offerings, vehicle manufacturers are increasingly facing the need to continuously develop, test, and deliver functionality, while maintaining high levels of quality.
