    Abstract : Background: The main indications for therapy with female sex hormones are contraception and menopausal hormone therapy (MHT). The aim of this thesis was to investigate the use of hormonal contraception and MHT in different populations of women in Sweden, 2000–2021. The use of contraception in women with obesity was studied.
