16. Energy Efficient Evaporation in Future Kraft Pulp Mills
Abstract : In the future, the technical and economic conditions for energy savings in the pulp and paper industry will change. More excess heat will be available in future mills above 80°C than in existing mills, increasing the potential for process integration, and governmental actions for reducing CO2 emissions and the deregulation of electricity markets will change the economic conditions for investments aimed at saving energy. 17. Anaerobic Digestion of Wastewaters from Pulp and Paper Mills : A Substantial Source for Biomethane Production in Sweden
Abstract : The Swedish pulp and paper industry is the third largest exporter of pulp and paper products worldwide. It is a highly energy-demanding and water-utilising industry, which generates large volumes of wastewater rich in organic material. READ MORE

18. Sludge from pulp and paper mills for biogas production : Strategies to improve energy performance in wastewater treatment and sludge management
Abstract : The production of pulp and paper is associated with the generation of large quantities of wastewater that has to be purified to avoid severe pollution of the environment. Wastewater purification in pulp and paper mills combines sedimentation, biological treatment, chemical precipitation, flotation and anaerobic treatment, and the specific combination of techniques is determined by the local conditions. 19. Perturbative Aspects of Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory on T3
Abstract : This thesis is concerned with perturbative aspects of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in a space-time of the form T3xR, in the regime where the gauge coupling is weak. Wave functions of vacuum states of super Yang-Mills theoriesare supported on the moduli space of flat connections, and we consider a semi-classical treatment of such theories, obtained by expanding the fields around some normalizable zero energy background field configuration. 20. On Causal Attribution
Abstract : This dissertation treats of the problem of attributing the occurrence of an individual event or state to a single cause — a problem commonly understood either as a question of distinguishing the cause from the mere conditions or as a matter of singling out, from several causes, one cause, as the cause. The main purpose of the study is to clarify some basic concepts, and some criteria of ascertainment of the cause, that may be discerned in the literature on causal attribution. READ MORE
