    Abstract : Abstract The aim of this thesis is to suggest a model to assist in the ability to judge access by private persons to Information Technology, IT, and to Public Information Sys-tems, PIS. It has its starting point in the Swedish Government´s endeavour to turn Sweden into the first information society for all. READ MORE

  3. 3. Memory modeling and synthesis for real-time video processing systems

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mittuniversitetet

    Author : Benny Thörnberg; Mittuniversitetet.; Mittuniversitetet.; [2006]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; memory modeling; TECHNOLOGY Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Abstract : In this thesis, a new design methodology and new tools for modeling and synthesis of real-time video processing systems are presented. A real-time video processing system is a system that performs computations on a continuous sequence of images. Image processing is a memory intensive application. READ MORE

  4. 4. Mathematical modeling and numerical tools for simulation and design of light scattering in paper and print

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mittuniversitetet

    Author : Per Edström; Mittuniversitetet.; Mittuniversitetet.; [2007]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mathematical modeling; radiative transfer; integro-differential equations; inverse problems; parameter estimation; solution method; numerical performance; light scattering; paper industry applications; Kubelka-Munk; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : This work starts with a real industrial problem - the perceived need for a moredetailed and more accurate model for light scattering in paper and print than theKubelka?Munk model of today. A careful analysis transfers this problem into aphysical description of the phenomena involved. READ MORE

  5. 5. Mathematical Modelling of Light Scattering in Paper and Print

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mittuniversitetet

    Author : Per Edström; Mittuniversitetet.; Mittuniversitetet.; [2004]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mathematical modeling; radiative transfer; solution method; numerical stability; speed; light scattering; light absorption; Kubelka-Munk; errors; reflectance calculations; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : A problem formulation and a solution method are outlined for the radiative transfer problem in vertically inhomogeneous scattering and absorbing media, using discrete ordinate model geometry. The treatment spans from the physical problem via a continuous formulation, a discretization and a numerical analysis, to an implementation with performance evaluation and application to real-world problems.
