16. Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers : Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties
Abstract : Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties TOBIAS ANDERSSON Department of Applied Mechanics Chalmers University of Technology ABSTRACT This thesis is concerned with methods to extract material properties of thin adhesive layers loaded in peel and in mixed mode. The first part of the thesis is devoted to an experimental method to determine the complete stress-elongation relation (or cohesive law) for an adhesive layer loaded in peel using the DCB-specimen. 17. Method Usefulness for Quality Improvement in Care
Abstract : Complexity in care arises from several concurrent sources, such as siloed care organisations and complex care processes handled by several medical specialities. Due to factors including the ongoing development of personalised care and increasingly older populations suffering from multi-sickness, care complexity can only be expected to increase. READ MORE

18. How Does it Feel and How is it measured? Assessing Sitting Comfort and Postures of Rear-Seated Car Passengers in Stationary and Driven Scenarios Over Time
Abstract : This licentiate thesis presents the results of an empirical study focused on examining the comparative effectiveness of short stationary studies versus long driving studies in evaluating sitting postures, belt fit, and sitting comfort in cars. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, in which 19 participants experienced two different test scenarios in the rear seat of a car: a stationary scenario within an indoor garage and a driven scenario on a predefined route in regular traffic, each lasting 45 minutes. 19. Common spaces in assisted living for older persons. Aspects of usability from the residential and workplace perspectives
Abstract : This thesis is about space. It assumes that space forms a necessary part of the structure of existence. The architectural space becomes an existential space in the encounter with the user. Common unit spaces in assisted living (AL) for older persons are the principal venue for social interaction and have no parallel in ordinary housing. READ MORE

20. Carbon materials: towards a circular economy through thermochemical recycling of mixed waste
Abstract : Carbon-containing materials, such as paper, wood, plastic, and textiles, are essential for our daily lives, being used in everything from clothing to infrastructure. However, their use typically follows a linear pattern, in that we extract carbon resources, create products, and eventually dispose of them, thereby contributing to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the supply chain.
