  1. 11. Resource Allocation for Mobile Edge Computing Systems

    Author : Ming Zeng; Viktória Fodor; Gunnar Karlsson; Di Yuan; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mobile edge computing MEC ; orthogonal multiple access OMA ; non-orthogonal multiple access NOMA ; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : The rapid development of mobile information industry has led to the emergence of various mobile applications in areas such as industrial automation, health care or transportation. These applications often require heavy computations with strict latency requirement, which may surpass the processing abilities of the mobile devices. READ MORE

  2. 12. Bringing Augmented Reality to Mobile Phones

    Author : Anders Henrysson; Anders Ynnerman; Kari Pulli; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mobile Phone; Augmented Reality; HCI; Ubiquitous Computing; 3D Interaction; Computer Vision; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Abstract : With its mixing of real and virtual, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has attracted lots of attention from the science community and is seen as a perfect way to visualize context-related information. Computer generated graphics is presented to the user overlaid and registered with the real world and hence augmenting it. READ MORE

    Abstract : A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device.
