  1. 1. Modular function deployment

    Author : Gunnar Erixon; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis introduces a method and procedure for thedevelopment of modular products including a tool for evaluationof modular concepts based on case studies, empirical data foundin test examples and accepted design theories.The method is called Modular Function Deployment (MFD) andconsists of five major steps. 3. 3. Glycoside hydrolases from Rhodothermus marinus Modular organisation and structure-function relationships

    Author : Maher Abou-Hachem; Bioteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; calcium-binding; modular; endoglucanase; thermostable; CBM; xylanase; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Abstract : The thermophilic bacterium Rhodothermus marinus produces several thermostable glycoside hydrolases. The studies presented in this thesis were performed on two enzymes, belonging to glycoside hydrolase families 10 and 12, produced by this microorganism. The family 10 xylanase, Xyn10A, is modular in architecture consisting of five domains or modules. READ MORE

  4. 4. Admissible covers, modular operads and modular forms

    Author : Dan Petersen; Carel Faber; Alessandro Chiodo; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis contains three articles related to operads and moduli spaces of admissible covers of curves. In Paper A we isolate cohomology classes coming from modular forms inside a certain space of admissible covers, thereby showing that this moduli space can be used as a substitute for a Kuga–Sato variety. 5. 5. Vector-valued Modular Forms, Computational Considerations

    Author : Tobias Magnusson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; modular forms;

    Abstract : In the following thesis we give a thorough self-contained introduction to vector-valued modular forms with an eye to representation theoretic aspects. We also examine the mathematical details of an implementation that we provide for an algorithm that computes bases of certain spaces of vector-valued modular forms in terms of a theorem due to Raum and Xià.
