6. Multipole moments of axisymmetric spacetimes
Abstract : In this thesis we study multipole moments of axisymmetric spacetimes. Using the recursive definition of the multipole moments of Geroch and Hansen we develop a method for computing all multipole moments of a stationary axisymmetric spacetime without the use of a recursion. READ MORE

7. Multipole Moments of Stationary Spacetimes
Abstract : In this thesis we study the relativistic multipole moments for stationary asymptotically flat spacetimes as introduced by Geroch and Hansen. These multipole moments give an asymptotic description of the gravitational field in a coordinate independent way. READ MORE

8. Moments on a City Bus : Micro-sociology of Non-verbal Interaction in Urban Bus-riding
Abstract : This thesis seeks to contribute to research on social interaction in public (and semi-public) places in general, and research on non-verbal mundane interaction in these places in particular. By paying empirical attention to the non-verbal interaction that takes place in the context of riding a city bus – which is a contained and time-limited form of social activity – this thesis explores the theoretically rich source of information about mundane interaction that this specific social activity offers. 9. Living moments in family meetings : A process study in the family business context
Abstract : This dissertation studies meetings from a process perspective. Such an approach, which can be labelled ‘process organisation studies’ is promising in that it directs attention to social processes continuously in the making. The thesis builds on the current development in process organisation studies in two ways. READ MORE

10. Multi-Timescale Modelling of Ethernet Traffic
Abstract : Ethernet is one of the most common link layer technologies, used in local area networks, wireless networks and wide area networks. There is however a lack of traffic models for Ethernet that is usable in performance analysis. In this thesis we describe an Ethernet traffic model. READ MORE
