21. Simulation-based Optimization and Decision Making with Imperfect Information
Abstract : The purpose of this work is to provide simulation-based support for making optimal (or near-optimal) decisions in situations where decision makers are faced with imperfect information. We develop several novel techniques and algorithms for simulation-based optimization and decision support and apply them to two categories of problems: (i) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) path planning in search operations, and; (ii) optimization of business process models. 22. Spectrally Selective Solar Absorbing Coatings Prepared by dc Magnetron Sputtering
Abstract : Spectrally selective solar absorber using composite Ni-NiO as coating materials was studied. Samples were prepared by dc magnetron sputtering unit named Rulle, which is a miniature copy of an industrial roll-coater unit. READ MORE

23. Programming and updaing of reaching movements
Abstract : Neuronal activity in the motor cortex (area 4) was recorded during reaching movements in cats, trained to perform target-reaching in response to a tone burst. Out of 350 task related neurones 12% generated short latency (20?110 ms) sensory responses to the cue triggering the reaching movement. READ MORE

24. Development of improved radiation therapy techniques using narrow scanned photon beams
Abstract : The present thesis is focused on the development and application of narrow scanned high energy photon beam for radiation therapy. The introduction of physically and biologically optimized intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) requires a flexible and accurate dose delivery method to maximize the treatment outcome. 25. Connecting Social Science and Information Technology : Democratic Privacy in the Information Age
Abstract : This work has two main ambitions. First, we will develop a generic framework which, properly used, can drastically reduce the intrinsic complexity of the continually evolving IT-environment, making it less unwieldy. That should prove advantageous for anyone trying to analyse social aspects of the moving target that is classified as "IT". READ MORE
