1. Exercise-induced muscle soreness : a qualitative and quantitative study of human muscle morphology and function
Abstract : Exercise-induced muscle soreness is characterized by stiffness, tenderness and pain during active movements and weakness of the affected musculature the days after unusually or particularly heavy work. The most pronounced subjective symptoms do not arise immediately but rather between a couple of hours to some days after the exercise (a delayed-onset of muscle soreness), the intensity of pain is greatest about 48 hours after the work. 2. Extra- and intrafusal muscle fibre type compositions of the human masseter at young age. : In perspective of growth and functional maturation of the jaw-face motor system
Abstract : Muscles control body posture and movement by extrafusal and intrafusal (muscle spindle) fibres. The purpose of this thesis was to provide insight into the muscular basis for human jaw function at young age. READ MORE

3. Myofibrillens finstruktur i tvärstrimmig skelettmuskulatur
Abstract : The detailed structure of the myofibrillar material in fibres from different muscles has been studied. Specimens have been obtained from human muscles and from different muscles frequently examined in experimental studies. Both light- and electron microscopical techniques have been used. READ MORE

4. Myonuclear Organization and Regulation of Muscle Contraction in Single Muscle Fibres : Effects of Ageing, Gender, Species, Endocrine Factors and Muscle Size
Abstract : The skeletal muscle fibre is a syncitium where each myonucleus regulates the gene products in a finite volume of cytoplasm i.e., the myonuclear domain (MND). READ MORE

5. Heat shock proteins in exercised human skeletal muscle
Abstract : Exercise is considered as an important stressor accompanied by concerted molecular and cellular changes leading to adaptations at the level of skeletal muscle size and function. An important protein family produced by cells in response to stressful conditions is the heat shock proteins (HSPs). READ MORE
