1. Myocardial Perfusion and Function: Comparative assessment by ECG, SPECT and MRI
Abstract : Evaluation of myocardial perfusion and function is important in management of patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease. This thesis focuses on the use of common diagnostic methods, myocardial perfusion single-photon emission computed tomography (MPS) and electrocardiography (ECG), to enhance and validate the diagnostic information. 3. Detection of Myocardial Ischemia using Real-Time Myocardial Contrast Echocardiography
READ MORE

4. Electrocardiographic Imaging of Myocardial Ischemia, Infarction and Scar: Correlation with SPECT, MRI and Arrhythmias
Abstract : This thesis focuses on the development and testing of electrocardiographic (ECG) methods to diagnose and characterize myocardial ischemia, infarction and fibrosis (scar). The goal is to provide improved decision support to physicians regarding the optimal selection of patients for two costly, invasive therapies – percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for patients with heart failure and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). 5. Myocardial ischemia : As a risk indicator after an episode of unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction
Abstract : The diagnostic and prognostic value of different noninvasive tests were evaluated in men below 70 years of age admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU) with unstable coronary artery disease (CAD) i.e unstableangina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction (Ml). A symptom limited exercise test (ET) was performed before discharge in 740 patients. READ MORE
