  1. 1. Foundation of Density Functionals in the Presence of Magnetic Field

    Author : Andre Laestadius; Michael Benedicks; Trygve Helgaker; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Current density functional theory; Hohenberg-Kohn theorems; paramagnetic current density functionals; Kohn-Sham theory; Levy-Lieb functional; variational principle; N-representable; degeneracy; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : This thesis contains four articles related to mathematical aspects of Density Functional Theory.In Paper A, the theoretical justification of density methods formulated with current densities is addressed. It is shown that the set of ground-states is determined by the ensemble-representable particle and paramagnetic current density. READ MORE

  2. 2. The role of the leukemia-associated ETO homologue repressors in hematopoiesis

    Author : André Olsson; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MTGR1; ETO; MTG16; AML1-ETO; hematopoiesis; leukemia; diffferentiation; extracellular fluids; Haematology; Medicin människa och djur ; extracellulära vätskor; Hematologi; Medicine human and vertebrates ;

    Abstract : The fusion protein AML1-ETO is observed in acute myeloid patients with the chromosomal translocation t(8;21). Cells with this chimeric protein have impaired granulocytic and erythroid differentiation with accumulation of myeloblasts. The transcriptional co-repressor ETO (Eight Twenty One) was identified from the cloning of AML1-ETO. READ MORE

  3. 3. Beers and Bonds : Essays in Structural Empirical Economics

    Author : Andre Romahn; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This dissertation consists of four papers in structural empirics that can be broadly categorized into two areas. The first three papers revolve around the structural estimation of demand for differentiated products and several applications thereof (Berry (1994), Berry, Levinsohn and Pakes (1995), Nevo (2000)), while the fourth paper examines the U. 4. 4. Protein phosphorylation in plant mitochondria

    Author : André Struglics; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; FoF1-ATPase; autophosphorylation; protein kinase activity; protein phosphorylation; Plant mitochondria; inner mitochondrial membrane; NDPK; Physiological biophysics; Växtfysiologi;

    Abstract : Protein phosphorylation in the subcompartments of plant mitochondria was investigated by labelling with [gamma-32P]ATP and by SDS-PAGE/autoradiography. About 20 proteins in inside-out inner mitochondrial membranes from potato tubers were phosphorylated by endogenous protein kinases when incubated with [gamma-32P]ATP. READ MORE
