  1. 1. A clinical positron emission tomography facility : 2-¹⁸FDG studies : development and results

    Author : Tomas G Ohlsson; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; radiology; Clinical physics; head and neck cancer; monitoring therapy effect; quantification; normalization; 511 keV SPECT; rotating PET scanner; 2-[18-F]FDG; isotope production; 18-F; PET; positron emission tomography; tomography; medical instrumentation; Klinisk fysiologi; radiologi; tomografi; medicinsk instrumentering; Fysicumarkivet A:1996:Ohlsson;

    Abstract : Positron emission tomography (PET) is a tracer technique used for quantitative in vivo studies of physiological and biochemical processes. Because of the use of positron-emitting radionuclides such as 11-C, 13-N, 15-O and 18-F, which are isotopes of the biologically ubiquitous elements, it is possible to label radiopharmaceuticals which trace biochemical processes precisely. 2. 2. Maximally Supersymmetric Models in Four and Six Dimensions

    Author : Fredrik Ohlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Taub-NUT space; Flat connections; Topologically non-trivial connections; 0 theory; Maximal supersymmetry; 2; Circle fibrations; Yang-Mills theory;

    Abstract : We consider two examples of maximally supersymmetric models; the N=4 Yang-Mills theory in four dimensions and the (2,0) theory in six dimensions. The first part of the thesis serves as an introduction to the topics covered in the appended research papers, and begins with a self-contained discussion of principal fibre bundles and symplectic geometry. 3. 3. Perturbative Aspects of Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory on T3

    Author : Fredrik Ohlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis is concerned with perturbative aspects of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in a space-time of the form T3xR, in the regime where the gauge coupling is weak. Wave functions of vacuum states of super Yang-Mills theoriesare supported on the moduli space of flat connections, and we consider a semi-classical treatment of such theories, obtained by expanding the fields around some normalizable zero energy background field configuration. 4. 4. Spins and Giants : Fundamental Excitations in Weakly and  Strongly Coupled ABJM Theory

    Author : Olof Ohlsson Sax; Joseph A. Minahan; Gianluca Grignani; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; String theory; AdS CFT correspondence; Integrable field theory; Mathematical physics; Matematisk fysik; Theoretical Physics; Teoretisk fysik;

    Abstract : The discovery of integrability on both sides of the duality between planar N=4 super Yang-Mills theory and free type IIB string theory in AdS5 × S5 has lead to great progress in our understanding of the AdS/CFT correspondence. Similar integrable structures also appear in the more recent three-dimensional superconformal N=6 Chern-Simons-matter theory constructed by Aharony, Bergman, Jafferis and Maldacena (ABJM), as well as in its gravity dual, type IIA string theory on AdS4 × CP3. 5. 5. Non-conveyance within the Swedish ambulance service : A prehospital patient safety study

    Author : Erik Höglund; Agneta Schröder; Emma Ohlsson-Nevo; Margareta Möller; Magnus Andersson-Hagiwara; Eric Carlström; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Ambulance; Ambulance nurse; Ambulance service; Emergency medical services; Non-conveyance; Non‐transport; Nurse; Patient; Patient assessment; Patient-safety;

    Abstract : BackgroundThere is an increasing demand for ambulance services and more patients than before are requesting ambulance assistance for low acuity conditions. Ambulance services non-convey patients because they lack acute care needs. READ MORE
