  1. 11. Aerosol Metal Nanoparticles and their Role in Particle-Assisted Growth of III–V Nanowires

    Author : Robert Hallberg; NanoLund; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aerosol formation; III–V semiconductor materials; catalyst particles; Palladium nanoparticles; Gold nanoparticles; Spark discharge generation; MOVPE; MOCVD; Transmission electron microscopy TEM ; Phase stability; Nanoparticle deposition; Nanoparticle generation; nanoparticles characterization; Nanowire NW ; Nanowire growth;

    Abstract : Semiconductor nanowires have properties that make them potentially useful for applications in future electronic, photovoltaic, and optoelectronic devices. A powerful nanowire fabrication technique is the use of a nanoparticle as a preferential nucleation site, from which a nanowire grows. READ MORE

    Author : Markus Hellenbrand; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MOSFET; TFET; III-V; Nanowire; Hysteresis; Low-Frequency Noise; Random Telegraph Noise; cryogenic; Reliability; Radio Frequency; Small-Signal Model;

    Abstract : The ever increasing demand for faster and more energy-efficient electricalcomputation and communication presents severe challenges for the semiconductor industry and particularly for the metal-oxidesemiconductorfield-effect transistor (MOSFET), which is the workhorse of modern electronics. III-V materials exhibit higher carrier mobilities than the most commonly used MOSFET material Si so that the realisation of III-V MOSFETs can enable higher operation speeds and lower drive voltages than that which is possible in Si electronics. 4. 14. Millimeter-Wave Radar for Low-Power Applications

    Author : Sebastian Heunisch; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gesture Recognition; Material Characterization; Radar; Reflectrometry; Resonant-Tunnelling Diode; Wavelet Generator; Wideband Millimeter-Wave Circuits;

    Abstract : Radar technology has developed rapidly during the last century. Besides its initial use for military, it is nowadays also applied for many civil applications. Improvements in circuit technology make integrated radar sensors possible, allowing a significant reduction of the production cost. READ MORE

  5. 15. Aerotaxy - A Gas-Phase Nanowire Growth Technique

    Author : Magnus Heurlin; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURAL SCIENCES; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : In this thesis an efficient nanowire fabrication technique, called Aerotaxy, is investigated. Traditional nanowire fabrication techniques include the use of a substrate as a point of nanowire nucleation which limits the amount of nanowires that can be produced per unit time. READ MORE
