    Abstract : Injuries and deaths as a result of vehicle rollover have been declining in recent years like other crash modes, but it still remains a consistently large contributor of the overall crash fatalities in the United States. Also, more new vehicles are becoming equipped with electronic stability control and are subject to new regulations that call for increased roof strength and countermeasures to prevent ejection during rollover crashes.     Abstract : Objectives This thesis is based on 4 papers that were all written with the same intent, which was to describe and demonstrate how epidemiologic concepts and data can serve as a basis for improved validity of probabilistic conclusions in forensic medicine (FM).
