  1. 1. High accuracy low-cost NDIR sensing

    Author : Bakhram Gaynullin; Göran Thungström; Henrik Rödjegård; Christine Hummelgård; Claes Mattsson; David Bastviken; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NDIR; pressure calibration and compensation; resolution limits; carbon dioxide; methane; spectroscopy;

    Abstract : Sensing gas concentrations using optical absorption offers valuable advantages over other methods ina wide variety of real-world applications from industrial processes to environmental change. One of the most rapidly developing detection techniques on the global market is the non-dispersive infrared method (NDIR). READ MORE

  2. 2. Thermal detector with integrated absorber structure for mid-IR gas detection

    Author : Shakeel Ashraf; Göran Thungström; Peter Enoksson; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermal detectors; Thermopile detectors; Infrared absorbers; SU-8 epoxy; Interferometric and Multi-layered absorber; Seebeck coefficient; Molybdenum di-sulfide;

    Abstract : Measurement of the concentration of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide(CO 2 ) and methane (CH 4 ), in the atmosphere has received significant attention in the last few decades. This work focusses on the development of high-performance thermopile detectors for use with the non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) measurements of such gases. READ MORE

  3. 3. Design, Fabrication and Optimization of Thermal Radiation Detectors Based on Thin Polymer Membranes

    Author : Claes Mattsson; Hans-Erik Nilsson; Göran Thungström; Ylva Bäcklund; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermal detector; Polymer; Membrane; SU-8; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Abstract : The number of applications in which infrared radiation sensors are used is increasing. In some applications, the cost of the sensor itself is an issue, and simple solutions are thus required. In this thesis, the investigations have related to the use of thin polymer membranes in thermal infrared sensors, such as bolometers and thermopiles. READ MORE
