1. Feedback control of cerebellar learning
Abstract : The ability to anticipate future events and to modify erroneous anticipatory actions is crucial for the survival of any organism. Both theoretical and empirical lines of evidence implicate the cerebellum in this ability. It is often suggested that the cerebellum acquires “expectations” or “internal models”. READ MORE

2. Improving Design for Remanufacturing Though Feedback from Remanufacturing to Design
Abstract : The high demand for products in our society makes manufacturing, and the treatment of products throughout the product life cycle, crucial as it adds to the total environmental impact of a product. Initiatives such as the circular economy promote economic growth while not increasing environmental impacts. READ MORE

3. Systematic Design of Linear Feedback Amplifiers
Abstract : This work adds a quantitative description of distortion to the structured design method of negative-feedback amplifiers. It constitutes a power-series representation of the feedback amplifier, which may include dynamic (memory) effects, where the design parameters appear explicitly. READ MORE

4. The brain-pituitary-gonadal axis of the three-spined stickleback, Gasterosteus aculeatus
Abstract : The seasonal reproduction of the three-spined stickleback is stimulated by long day photoperiod. As in other vertebrates, the reproductive system of stickleback is regulated by the brain-pituitary-gonadal (BPG) axis which is largely controlled by feedback effects. Both negative and positive feedback effects on the BPG axis have been found in fish. READ MORE

5. A Novel Approach to Teaching Emotional Expression in Music Performance
Abstract : One of the most important aspects of music performance is the expression of emotions, yet research has suggested that this skill is neglected in music education. The aim of this thesis was thus to develop and test a novel and empirically-based approach to teaching emotional expression in music performance. READ MORE
