11. Molecular Interactions Studied by Electrophoretic and Diffusion NMR
Abstract : Even though electrophoretic NMR (eNMR) experiments may provide unique chemical information and have been performed for three decades, the technique is still rarely applied, mainly because several experimental sources of artifacts have to be controlled to achieve accurate results. In this thesis, new experimental setups and protocols for accurate and precise eNMR experiments are presented. READ MORE

12. Simulation of Relaxation Processes in Fluorescence, EPR and NMR Spectroscopy
Abstract : Relaxation models are developed using numerical solutions of the Stochastic Liouville Equation of motion. Simplified descriptions such as the stochastic master equation is described in the context of fluorescence depolarisation experiments. Redfield theory is used in order to describe NMR relaxation in bicontinuous phases. READ MORE

13. NMR STUDIES ON STRUCTURE AND DYNAMICS OF TWO-DOMAIN PROTEINS
Abstract : The general objective of the present thesis work was to examine 3-dimensional structure as well as the motional properties of two different types of two-domain proteins by solution-state NMR. One of the major tasks of this thesis work was to investigate the domain orientation of these molecules by employing residual dipolar couplings (RDC) which can be used as orientational restraints for increasing the accuracy of protein structures determined by NMR. 14. NMR Studies of Inclusion Compounds
Abstract : This thesis presents the application of some of the NMR methods in studying host-guest complexes, mainly in solution. The general focus of the work is on investigating the reorientational dynamics of some small molecules that are bound inside cavities of larger moieties. READ MORE

15. NMR studies of host-pathogen interactions
Abstract : This thesis describes the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) for characterizing two host-pathogen interactions: The behavior of a regulatory RNA of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and the attachment of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) to the gastric mucosa. READ MORE
