  1. 1. Generalized Vandermonde matrices and determinants in electromagnetic compatibility

    Author : Karl Lundengård; Sergei Silvestrov; Dietrich von Rosen; Mälardalens högskola; []

    Abstract : Matrices whose rows (or columns) consists of monomials of sequential powers are called Vandermonde matrices and can be used to describe several useful concepts and have properties that can be helpful for solving many kinds of problems. In this thesis we will discuss this matrix and some of its properties as well as a generalization of it and how it can be applied to curve fitting discharge current for the purpose of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility. 2. 2. Vector-valued Eisenstein series of congruence types and their products

    Author : Jiacheng Xia; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hecke operator; Fourier expansion of modular forms; congruence type; products of Eisenstein series; vector-valued modular forms;

    Abstract : Historically, Kohnen and Zagier connected modular forms with period polynomials, and as a consequence of this association concluded that the products of at most two Eisenstein series span all spaces of classical modular forms of level 1. Later Borisov and Gunnells among other authors extended the result to higher levels. READ MORE

    Abstract : We study admissible transformations and solve group classification problems for various classes of linear and nonlinear Schrödinger equations with an arbitrary number n of space variables.The aim of the thesis is twofold. READ MORE

  4. 4. Simple Modules over Lie Algebras

    Author : Jonathan Nilsson; Volodymyr Mazorchuk; Erhard Neher; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lie algebra; Representation; Simple module; Non-weight module; Classification; Construction; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : Simple modules are the elemental components in representation theory for Lie algebras, and numerous mathematicians have worked on their construction and classification over the last century. This thesis consists of an introduction together with four research articles on the subject of simple Lie algebra modules. READ MORE

  5. 5. INCREMENTAL FAULT DIAGNOSABILITY AND SECURITY/PRIVACY VERIFICATION

    Author : Mona Noori-Hosseini; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : Dynamical systems can be classified into two groups. One group is continuoustime systems that describe the physical system behavior, and therefore are typically modeled by differential equations. The other group is discrete event systems (DES)s that represent the sequential and logical behavior of a system. READ MORE
