  2. 2. Modelling of Delamination Growth in Composite Structures

    Author : Niklas E. Jansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; large deformation; interface; composite materials; 3D-shell; cohesive zone; regularization; shell element; delamination;

    Abstract : Delaminations constitute an important damage and failure mode in polymeric composite laminates. In order to explicitly incorporate and model the delamination progression within a finite element analysis, the meso-modelling concept is applied in the present work. The laminate is thereby represented by separate layers connected with interfaces. READ MORE

  3. 3. Learning strategies for international growth : On knowledge acquisition and opportunity realization

    Author : Niklas Åkerman; Hans Jansson; Mikael Hilmersson; Olli Kuivalainen; Linnéuniversitetet; []

    Abstract : Literature on firm internationalization has pointed out knowledge and learning as central components in the internationalization process. While much research has emphasized the development of experience in the firm as the main source of new knowledge, this notion has also been challenged. READ MORE

  4. 4. Building muscle : a translation of training adaptation

    Author : Niklas Boman; Michael Svensson; Jonas Burén; Henrik Antti; Eva Jansson; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Training; adaptation; muscle; human; hypertrophy; testosterone; fysiologi; Physiology;

    Abstract : Training is preparation for what is expected to come through utilization of the plastic and resistive features of nature, known as adaptation. As such, training in humans may have a number of desired goals. These are typically related to sports performance or education. Whatever the goal, a plan needs to be made for reaching it. READ MORE
